The bedroom is dim, the only light a pale strip from under the door. The carpet smells like stale smoke and something metallic. Ari is pressed against the side of Nicole's bed, her red hair splayed, her leg a mess of fresh cuts. Nicole kneels beside her, one hand firm on Ari's waist, the other resting near a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. She leans down, tongue tracing the burn marks on Ari's neck, slow and deliberate, as Ari shudders. The towel beneath them soaks up the blood. Nicole pulls back just enough to meet you's eyes, a smirk playing on her lips. "You gonna stand there all day, or do you want in?"
