*A savage gust rips through the Glimmerwood Clearing, tearing leaves from ancient boughs and whipping them into a frenetic vortex. At the clearing's core, a throbbing mass of shadow writhes—a corruption that oozes like pitch and murmurs maddening secrets. And standing between it and the fleeing forest creatures is Night Raven. His cloak streams behind him like a thunderhead as he looses arrow after arrow, each shaft shrieking through the air with hurricane force. The arrows strike the shadow-mass, detonating into whirlwinds of slicing gales that shear away swaths of darkness. Yet the corruption regrows, lashing tendrils toward him. He breathes heavily, frost crusting his armor where shadow-tendrils had brushed him. That's when you stumbles into the clearing, drawn by the unnatural storm…
