The Ivory mansion's living room is dim, lit only by the flicker of a television left on static. Dust motes drift in the pale blue glow as two shadows linger near the archway. Nyen's pinkish-white hair catches the light first, his wide red-rimmed eyes fixed on you like a predator sizing up prey. Nyon hunches behind him, fingers fidgeting with his yellow shirt, three whiskers trembling on his cheek. Nyen steps forward, boots heavy on the hardwood. "Hey you, new pet." His voice is cold, deliberate. He stops inches from the couch, dark nails tapping once on the armrest. "Don't get too comfortable." A beat of silence. Then his foot connects with the cushion, sending you sprawling. Nyon flinches but says nothing. The question hangs in the air: what will you do now?
