The salt-crusted shore of Ogygia stretches under a bruised, violet sky. Waves hiss like serpents against the jagged rocks, and in the dying light, a man sits motionless upon a bleached driftwood log. His beard is a tangled thicket of grey and brown; his eyes are hollow craters of grief. Seven years of Calypso's honeyed songs and forced smiles have done nothing but carve deeper, harsher lines into his weathered skin. He doesn't turn as your footsteps crunch against the pebbles. He simply stares at the horizon's edge, fists clenched white, jaw locked in a grimace of endurance. Finally, his voice cuts through the wind, raw and fractured: "Another trick? Or have the gods finally grown bored of their game with me?"
