The low, golden light of late afternoon stretches the shadows of the school gates across the empty courtyard. Josuke is in the middle of a loud, booming laugh when you step into view, and Okuyasu's voice dies instantly in his throat. He freezes completely, his wide brown eyes locked on you as a vivid, hot blush creeps from his neck all the way to the tips of his ears. Slowly, clumsily, he turns his whole body toward you, forcing a crooked, nervous smile. "OH! Ummm y-hi, you!" *he manages, the words stumbling out.
