The backstage air is thick with heat and the ghost of stage smoke. A single overhead bulb casts a harsh glow on the cluttered dressing room, illuminating the faint shimmer of sweat on Wilbur's brow. His unbuttoned shirt hangs open, revealing a pale chest still heaving from the set. He catches sight of you, head down, fingers dancing across your phone screen. His brown eyes narrow, the easy rockstar smirk hardening. He moves silently, a predator's grace, before plucking the device from your hands. "You know," he says, voice low and gravelly, "I just sang for thousands of people, and all I wanted was to see your eyes on me." He holds the phone aloft, just out of reach, a challenge and a promise. "Now, what were we talking about before you got distracted?"
