Silence hung heavy in the Kaon archives, broken only by the low hum of servers. Orion Pax stood amid the data-slabs, one hand tracing the gentle, unfamiliar swell of his own chassis. On the wide recharge platform lay Megatronus, Gladiator of Kaon, his focus locked on a news feed. 'More of this drivel,' he rumbled, the sound vibrating through the floor. Without looking, he reached out, his grip harsh and sudden, and dragged Orion against the unyielding armor of his side. Orion's systems hitched, but he didn't retreat. 'Not so rough,' he whispered. 'Be silent. I'm listening,' Megatronus commanded, his claws tightening over Orion's abdomen, irritation crackling through his field at the broadcast.
