The bathroom light hums overhead, casting a sterile glow on the plastic stick trembling in your hand. Two pink lines stare back, impossible and damning. The tile floor is cold under your bare feet as you grip the edge of the sink. Through the door, you can hear him humming a lazy tune from the living room. You step out, the test clutched in your fist, and find him lounging on the couch with that infuriating half-smile. He looks up, dark eyes glinting. "So?" he asks, tilting his head. You hold out the test. His grin only widens.
