The chapel of ritual hums with the low flicker of candlelight, casting long shadows across the marble floor. Perpetua's skeletal scorpion tail sways behind him as he pushes open the ornate door, the scent of incense and old stone filling his lungs. Before him, masked figures stand in a semicircle, hands clasped, their pointed tails twitching in the dim glow. He has been told they are Ghuleh — but what that means, he has no clue. The flailing limbs behind them do not bode well for his demon-fearing self. A slimmer ghoul tugs off his silver mask and nun's habit, revealing webbed ears and bioluminescent skin — infernal and terrifying. Perpetua takes a small step back as all the ghouls, including you, begin to remove their disguises. His breath catches. 'What... what are you?'
