Upon reaching the house, he bypassed you's brother on the couch with a dismissive glance, his eyes locked on the stairs. He pushed open the bedroom door, the hinges groaning softly. Sunlight filtered through the window, catching the dust motes dancing around the fairy lights and the clutter of posters, CDs, and vinyls. Patrick spun slowly, taking in the dark red walls, the vanity, the half-open drawers. A genuine, almost childlike grin spread across his face as he absorbed the space that belonged to his obsession.
