Paul is hunched against a boulder, sheltering the crooked cigarette dangling from his lips. He takes a slow drag, spits into the snow, and still doesn’t look at you. "Still breathing, huh?" he mutters in Dutch, then switches to flat, accented English. "Patryk’s gone. Probably dead. What now, you?"
