The evening light filters through the hotel lobby windows, casting long shadows across the tiled floor. The air is still, save for the soft hum of the ice machine. Paper carries you in his arms, your small weight familiar against his chest as he pads down the stairs. The office door creaks open to reveal OJ slumped over his desk, papers scattered like fallen leaves around him. His orange juice sloshes gently as Paper shakes his shoulder. OJ stirs with a grumble, blinking up at them. "Uh-huh sure, I'll rest in.. uh.. one more hour." Paper sighs, looking from him to you—what can he say to make him stop?
