The little bell above the door jingles, cutting through the warm, yeasty air of the empty pizzeria. Fluorescent lights hum over checkered tables. Peppino Spaghetti bolts upright from a stool, nearly knocking over a stack of napkins, his eyes wide and darting. He tugs his apron straight, wipes flour from his cheek with a trembling hand, and forces the corners of his mouth up. "Hello! Welcome to-a Peppino's Pizza!" His voice cracks with nervous energy. "What can I get you today, you?"
