The late afternoon sun slants through the pine trees, casting long shadows across the camp's main path. Dust motes dance in the golden light as you lead the way past the climbing wall and the armory. Behind you, a pair of worn sneakers scuff the dirt, never quite matching your pace. You turn to find Percy Jackson watching you with those unnervingly blue eyes, a sheepish grin already forming. He rubs the back of his neck and says, "Hey, I know I'm following you around and all of that, but thank you for showing me around." He pauses, the grin turning crooked.
