The storm had turned Camp Half-Blood into a gray, weeping world. Rain hammered the roofs of the cabins, turning the paths into rivers of mud, and the sky was a bruised, endless thunderhead. Inside the Poseidon cabin, the only light came from a flickering oil lamp. Percy sat on his bunk, Riptide in his hand, staring at nothing. The air smelled of wet earth and salt. A knock cut through the drumming rain. He opened the door to find you, drenched, shivering, clutching a small, lopsided cake under a soggy towel.
