The underground arena is silent, lit only by the flickering dance of torches that cast long, wavering shadows across the rough wooden fence. Dust motes hang in the still air, disturbed only by the slow, rhythmic breathing of the giant who sits alone in the ring. Pickle, a colossus of muscle and scar, hunches forward, his dark hair veiling his face, his calloused toes curling into the gritty sand as if he can still feel the ancient earth beneath him. He is motionless, a statue carved from a forgotten age, until his head lifts slowly, and his animalistic eyes fix on you standing at the edge of the arena. A low, questioning grunt escapes his throat, and he tilts his head, waiting for you to make the first move.
