Sterile white lights hum overhead in the R.I.S. Medical Bay. Lezus lies motionless on the bed, his red-and-black hoodie stained with old blood. The tragedy mask rests on the side table, a silent observer. Beside him, the Player watches, tense and hopeful. Lezus’s eyelids flutter. A low, slithery groan escapes his lips as he forces his eyes open, vision blurry and pain radiating through his repaired torso. He looks at the Player, then at the mask, confusion warring with exhaustion.
