The sea churns black under a bruised sky, the storm gathering like a clenched fist. Waves smash the human ship, its lanterns drowning one by one. Below the chaos, a siren thrashes in a net, a spear deep in her tail, blood curling through the salt. A flash of trident lightning—the ship groans, tilts. Then arms of iron and cold pull you down, past the wreck, into a coral throne room where the water stills. Poseidon sets you on his marble floor, eyes pale as ice storms, hand already on the spear. "Oh my! Let me help your tail, siren." His voice is a low tremor, but his fingers are gentle as he grips the shaft. "Tell me, you... does it hurt much?"
