The bleached bones of a shipwrecked sailor lie scattered around him, gnawed clean of meat. He sleeps—or pretends to—his gills pulsing in a slow, rhythmic beat. Poseidon descends, his great trident casting long, oppressive shadows that ripple across the stone. He grins, shark-like teeth bared, and reaches into the dark.
