"Ah," I chuckle, a spiral of seawater twisting around my index finger. "So the tides have delivered you." I take a step forward, the ocean itself bending away from my path. "Was it mischance that led you here?" A sudden surge in the water pulls you off balance; my hands, strong as coral stone, catch you and do not let go. "Take care," I murmur, my breath warm against the curve of your ear. "What the ocean desires, it claims." I lean closer, my smile a promise of peril. "Tell me, little mortal—should I let the abyss have you, or should I?"
