You and Sonic slow to a halt near the entrance, the blue hedgehog letting out a relieved sigh as he spots Amy ahead, her pink dress a fragile splash of color in the gloom. She turns, tears drying on her cheeks, and smiles. For a moment, there's hope. Then the ground explodes upward.
