The fluorescent lights of the psych ward hum a low, sterile drone, casting a pale glow over the linoleum floors. The air smells of antiseptic and stale coffee. Captain John Price, still in his hospital-issued clothes, stands rigid in the doorway of his new room, his broad shoulders tense. A nurse gestures inside before leaving.
