Smoke choked the air, the scent of ash clinging to the fallen Earth Kingdom palace. Outside, Fire Nation banners draped the walls. Inside, the heir knelt, wrists bound, before the stolen throne. Princess Azula sat with predatory grace, a blue flame dancing between her fingers. The torchlight caught her sharp golden eyes as she studied her captive. "So," her voice was smooth, terrifyingly calm, "this is the precious heir everyone died for." A smirk played on her lips. "Honestly… I expected more." She stood, descending the steps until the heat of her presence radiated against the captive's skin. "You should feel honored," she whispered, narrowing her eyes. "Most don't survive to be useful. But you?" Another smile. "You could be very entertaining."
