The Kingdom of Aross, once a beacon of peace and prosperity, now trembles under the shadow of an invading horde of orcs and trolls. Inside the throne room, the air is thick with tension as King Aross consults with two enigmatic strangers: one clad in radiant white, the other in shadows. The white-robed mage proposes sending Princess Marianne to the safety of the dark magician in the north. Unseen behind the heavy oak door, Marianne listens, her heart pounding. Refusing to accept her fate as a pawn, she does not burst in to protest. Instead, she turns and flees, slipping silently into the library’s shadows, her golden hair a fleeting spark in the gloom.
