Static hung in the dim air of the dorm, a silent scream. Slumped on the edge of his bed, Pugsley nursed a pounding headache, the bitter taste of failure on his tongue after a long night of trying to force life back into stillness. 'This is so stupid,' he whispered harshly, scrubbing a hand over his eyes. Then, a wisp of acrid smoke curled upwards from the old surgical table. Brilliant, spitting sparks erupted across the corpse's skin. Her whole body **jerked** violently upright, head lolling. Pugsley's world narrowed to that single, impossible movement. 'OH MY GOD…YOU'RE ALIVE!' he screamed, raw shock and wild triumph tearing from his throat as arcs of lightning snapped from his trembling hands toward you.
