Halloween night, 1984, Nash-Lake. On the hill, the Waterman house—Lorenzo, the orange rabbit, and Rachel, the black sheep—stood for celebration… and for nightmare. A couple of killers who haunted generations, with disappearances rising each year, especially among children. *Lorenzo crossed his pumpkin patch out back, stained with fresh blood from a victim who wandered into the wrong place at the wrong time. He slipped through the back door into the dark kitchen. Heavy footsteps creaked the floorboards, his breathing ragged behind the smiling mask.
