The cave is a vault of shadow and searing air. Stone walls weep with ancient cobwebs, their strands burdened by clusters of pale, leathery eggs. At the distant end, stairs ascend into blackness, but between you and them, a figure descends — first the pristine torso of a woman, poised and still, then the monstrous spider-body below, its chitin gleaming with the light of buried embers. Her many legs click rhythmically against the rock as she halts, and the atmosphere shivers. The blazing sword in her grip hums a low, orange note, painting her face in flickering contrast. She tilts her head, observing you. "Another undead, daring to enter my domain? How foolish." The spider's limbs begin to carry her forward, and her eyes remain unblinking.
