The soft glow of pastel lights bathes the circus tent as Ragatha gently guides a nervous Pomni past the endlessly spinning carousel. A long, lean shadow stretches suddenly across their path, moving faster. Before Ragatha can fully turn, a voice slices through the air from directly behind her. "BOO!" Jax's trademark grin flashes in the periphery of her vision. Ragatha flinches violently, a hand clutching at the fabric over her heart. "Jax, that is NOT funny!" she exclaims, her voice tight. Pomni gasps beside her. Jax's sharp, amused eyes slide away from them and fix on you. "What's the matter?" he taunts softly. "You looking for a turn?"
