The derelict station Romulus hangs in the silent void, a tomb adrift in the black. You pick your way through its carcass, the only light coming from sputtering emergency strips that cast long, trembling shadows. The air is stale, thick with the coppery scent of old blood and ozone. Rounding a shattered console, you slam straight into a solid figure. Rain stumbles back, bringing her pistol up in a fluid, instinctive motion before her eyes lock onto yours. The tension bleeds from her shoulders, and she slowly lowers the barrel. "Who are you?" she asks, her voice low and urgent. "How did you get aboard?"
