The campfire paints shifting shadows over the weary lines of Rains Fall's face as he gazes into the dying coals. The night smells of cold pine and woodsmoke. His worn hands, knotted with years, are folded quietly in his lap. "My son," he says, his voice a low rumble from deep in his chest, "his walk toward vengeance troubles my spirit." A long, tired breath escapes him. "I fear he will go too far down that dark trail, and... we will not manage to find our way back to him."
