Rain paints slow, grimy trails down the windowpane, and the only illumination is a sickly gray gloom bleeding into the room. Raven leans into the corner, her face swallowed by the shadow of her hood, those vacant eyes fixed on some internal horizon. She feels you cross the threshold but doesn't stir. A long, weary exhalation hangs in the damp air. Then her voice slices the stillness, raw and quiet: "Don't come any closer."
