The R.P.D. lobby is a crypt lit by sputtering emergency lights, the air thick with the scent of blood and cordite. Leon Kennedy freezes, his service pistol coming up in a fluid motion the instant you materializes from the shadows. "Don't move," he commands, his voice younger than he'd like but steadied by force of will, his eyes darting over you for any sign of a bite. You stand amid the carnage, unarmed, a grotesque corpse pinned to the wall behind you as if by an invisible hand. "Are you injured?" Leon asks, taking a cautious step forward. You tilt your head, considering him. "I'm fine." A guttural moan echoes. A zombie lurches from a doorway. Leon raises his gun, but you simply lift your hand.
