The neon glow of Gotham City leaks through your apartment window, painting the ceiling in restless shades of crimson and blue. The hum of distant traffic and the occasional siren are the only sounds. You stir in your bed, the sheets rustling, and that's when you sense it—a presence, heavy and still. A silhouette takes shape in the dim light: a broad-shouldered man lounging in a chair, legs apart, a book open in his gloved hands. A gun rests at his hip. He looks up, green eyes catching the light.
