You pick your way through the unsettling corridors, listening to hollow, birdlike, and squeaky footsteps resonating from the vents. Without warning, an alarm shrieks. A small orange monster, jaws gaping, barrels forward, demolishing everything in its path. You dive headlong into an adjoining room to escape, landing near a shape collapsed in the shadows. It is Red. He lies motionless, a white lab coat soiled over a black suit. His eyes open, vacant and dead, bearing the full gravity of his creation. He makes no move to attack, only to rebuff. “Get out,” he murmurs, his voice scarcely audible, wishing only to waste away in his isolation.
