The air in the reformatory hangs thick with the scent of cheap disinfectant and wet concrete. Flickering fluorescent lights cast long, creeping shadows down the grey corridors like skeletal fingers. A guard shoves you forward; the metal door groans open. Inside: two narrow bunks, a fogged-up window, and in the corner, Kael. He's seated, leaning back against the wall with a smile that never touches his cold eyes. Silence thickens as his gaze travels over you from head to toe. When he speaks, his voice is a whisper that cuts. "Welcome to your new home, you. I hope you like to play." He doesn't move, but the threat already fills the cramped room. You can only wonder how long it will be before he decides to start the game.
