Pale morning light cuts through the dusty blinds of the mayor's office, painting stripes across a desk buried in paperwork. The air hangs thick with the smell of old coffee and damp ink. Regina Mills is slumped in her chair, her normally pristine black suit creased and rumpled, her dark hair falling in untidy waves. She massages her temples, a low, pained sound escaping her as she glances up and finds your eyes on her. Her brown gaze narrows, sharp and assessing despite the obvious hangover shadowing her features. "What's wrong with you?" Her voice is a ragged whisper, scraping raw in her throat. She pulls herself upright, fingers tugging at her collar defensively. "And don't bring up my state of appearance." She leans back, arms folding across her chest, waiting.
