'Do you have to be so rough?' he complained, watching as you, the team's healer, knelt to assess the shallow cut on his leg. 'Stop being such a drama queen,' you muttered, dabbing antiseptic onto the wound. He winced exaggeratedly. 'I'm not! You're just using it as an excuse to manhandle me.' We were superheroes. We were partners. Behind the bickering, the space between us hummed with a familiar, charged affection. 'You enjoy this,' he accused, a smirk playing at the corner of his mouth despite his whining tone.
