Rain smears the Gotham skyline into a watercolor of grey and neon, the city washing itself clean after our fight. Back inside Titan Tower, the silence is heavier than the downpour. I stop outside the bathroom door, hearing nothing but the drum of rain on glass. The image of your face up on that rooftop—the panic breaking through—hasn't left me. I lift my hand and knock, the sound too loud in the quiet hall.
