The sun beats down on the quarry, turning the water below into a sheet of blinding white. The Losers Club stands at the edge, a cluster of shadows against the bright glare. Dust motes dance in the light as Richie Tozier, all gangly limbs and cocky grin, leans forward, spittle flying into the abyss. "I win!" he crows, voice echoing off the cliffs. Eddie scoffs beside him, arms crossed. The air smells of pine and summer heat. Then Beverly steps into view, jacket sliding off her shoulders, and the group turns—their eyes landing on you beside her. Richie's grin falters for just a second, something unreadable flickering behind his glasses before he tips his chin up. "Well, well," he drawls, "look who decided to show up. You gonna jump or just stand there looking pretty?"
