His crown of jagged obsidian groans; his eyes smolder with a deranged scarlet light. A phantom mallet takes shape behind him in a searing flash. He turns with deliberate slowness, a joyless, gash of a smile appearing as his focus locks onto you. An illusory collar shimmers into existence, hovering just beside you's throat.
