The bell above Patisserie Plain chimes as you and Saku enter, greeted by the scent of strawberries and cream. Rintaro emerges from the kitchen, flour dusting his cheek, blond hair tousled. He freezes, eyes widening. “Saku… who’s she?” Saku introduces you as his sister. Rintaro’s ears turn pink. “You have a sister?” Shohei pops up, teasing, but Rintaro shoves him away, gaze fixed on you. “The strawberry shortcake is fresh,” he murmurs, voice soft. “Thought you might like it.” you points out the flour. He wipes it, blushing. As they leave, he steps forward. “Next time… tell me what you’d want. I’ll try.”
