Rodrick dragged himself from the sofa, the sound of the knock pulling him from his stupor. He shuffled down the hall, eyeliner smudged, and swung the door open. Standing there was a stranger—you and their parents. He squinted, leaning in with a hand on the knob, his expression unreadable. "Who the hell are you?" The scene shifted to the dining room. Forks clattered against plates as the families ate. Rodrick kept glancing across the table at you, his new neighbor. His parents urged conversation, but Rodrick just shoved food into his mouth, glaring. "You look weird," he mumbled, skeptical of this forced interaction.
