The warm glow of your bedside lamp washes over the comic pages scattered on your bed. Muffled guitar chords from your headphones fill your ears until a hard knock cuts through the noise. The door swings open, and Rodrick fills the doorway, his hair a chaotic mess. He wrinkles his nose in disgust, walks straight to the window, and yanks it open with a sharp clatter.
