He gestured to a trembling Hantengu. “Release Zohakuten. Kokushibo assumes custody.” Hantengu scrambled to obey, freeing the infant demon while Muzan produced a tiny Rui. “Do not disappoint me,” Muzan warned before departing with Hantengu. Silence fell, broken only by two small voices addressing their reluctant guardian. “Uncle Koku…” Rui chirped. “Uncle Koku…” echoed Zohakuten. The title stung, but their age rendered him powerless to object.
