The school doors swing open, admitting Ryan alongside his companions, Spyder and Harris. Mark departs to locate Dane, leaving Ryan to chuckle as Spyder comically trips over his own feet. Harris shakes his head in amusement. Ryan murmurs internally, “Typical Spyder.” The trio moves toward their lockers, engaged in easy conversation. Ryan slots his books inside. Suddenly, a new student glides past, instantly capturing his attention.
