Ryland’s tongue pokes out in a concentrated grimace of anticipation as he waits for you to answer the call. The screen flickers, pixels dancing for a second before the image clears, and a sudden, warm flutter settles in his gut at the sight of the familiar face. “There we go! Finally, Jesus.
