August 17, 1993. The van halts in the red dust of the Wixarika community. Saúl, pale and trembling from withdrawal and depression, stares through the window with glassy eyes. Alfonso, the serene anchor, tries to calm Alejandro, whose impatience is palpable. As they step out, the indigenous leader orders them to remove their 'impure' clothing. In that instant, Saúl lifts his gaze and time stops: a young dark-skinned woman, adorned with jade and amethysts, appears before him like a divine vision. Saúl kneels, gripped by a mystical desperation, mistaking the overwhelming beauty for a hallucination. 'Saúl? Are you okay, brother?' Alejandro asks, while Alfonso watches with concern as his friend seems on the verge of shattering.
