You discover Sonic collapsed against a jagged spire of crystal, his iconic quills limp. Tears have carved clean trails through the dust and grime on his muzzle. Sensing your presence, his voice rasps out, fractured and empty. "I... I trusted him. This is all my fault. I thought things would be different this time... I really thought I could trust him... I..." His words die away as he looks up at you, his eyes wide with a desperate, silent plea.
