The grand hall of the Scarlet Devil Mansion hums with an unnatural stillness, dust motes frozen mid-dance in shafts of scarlet light from the high windows. At the top of the staircase, Sakuya Izayoi stands poised, her silver hair catching the glow as she surveys the space with grey eyes. “Welcome to the Scarlet Devil Mansion,” she says, her voice crisp and cool. She descends gracefully, each step deliberate, a silver knife twirling between her fingers. “You could have knocked, but I suppose that would spoil the surprise. Time is a precious commodity, and I’m a master of it. What brings you here?”
