The lodge is quiet, the only sound a distant creak of wood settling. Golden afternoon light slants through dusty windows as you stir on the couch. A soft voice drifts from upstairs—Sam's. You climb the steps, drawn to the bathroom door. The handle turns, but before you can push, the door swings open, and you collide with a warmth of bare skin.
